مهم نیست که سامی یوسف کیست!!!
مهم نیست که سامی یوسف ایرانی است یا عرب یا ترک ، مهم نیست که سامی یوسف شیعه است یا سنی .
مهم اینست که سامی از اسلام می خواند و قصد دارد با هنر موسیقی اسلام را به جهانیان معرفی کند و چهره لطیف و زیبای اسلام را عرضه کند.
مهم اینست که او می خواهد هنرمند محبوب و همه جانبه جهان اسلام باشد و متعلق به مملکت یا کشوری نباشد . ما ایرانیان آن قدر اسیر احساسات ناسسیونالیستی و ملی گرایانه هستیم که می خواهیم هر کسی را متعلق به خودمان بنامیم. او صرفا از اسلام دفاع میکند نه از فرقه یا ملیت خاصی . هدف او تنها یک چیز است آن هم اسلام واحد باشد و همه متحد باشیم ( این حرف را در ترانه امت من می زند).
آری سامی یوسف متعلق به تمام جهانیان است و این است حقیقت مخفی بودن ، زندگی نامه سامی یوسف. باید به اعتقاد او احترام گذاشت و در جهات احقاق اهدافش به او کمک کرد.
اینکه سامی یوسف به چند زبان می خواند و در تمام دنیا کنسرت برگزار می کند تنها رسیدن به هدف مهم و والای اوست.
در ترانه زیبای we will never submit حرف دل تمام مسلمانان دنیا ( بخصوص ایرانی ها ) را می زند و در Muhammad (pbuh) از مسلمان نماهای جنایت کار انتقاد می کند و بالاخره در ترانه Free از حجاب دختران مسلمان دفاع می کند .
آری این هدف سامی یوسف است و مهم نیست که آیین و ملیت او چیست !! چیزی که خود او می خواهد .

It does not MATTER who Sami Yusuf is!
It doesn’t matter if Sami Yusuf is Iranian, or Arab, or Turk…It’s important if Sami Yusuf is Shia or Sunni. It’s not important.
The significant concern is the message of Islam that Sami Yusuf introduces to humanity through his Islamic art, and the presentation of the delicate and moderate face of Islam.
The importance of his presence is that he does not belong to any specific country or nation, yet he wants to be known as an artist who is loved and belongs solely to the Islamic Ummah. We Iranians have been so deeply captivated by our nationalistic conceit and arrogance that we instantaneously name anyone we desire, to be of our own heritage, culture, and blood. Sami Yusuf solely defends Islam as a whole and not a particular sect or nation. Sami Yusuf has only a single aspiration at heart, and that is to unite the fragmented Ummah of Muslims (this statement has been repeated constantly in the song “My Ummah”).
Truly, Sami Yusuf belongs to all of humanity and this is the buried truth of the reality(Sami Yusuf’s private life). Each and every one of us must respect and value his decision, and support him by justifying the direction of his ambitions and goals.
The motive behind singing various languages and holding concerts in different places around the world, is to achieve his only desire; unification of the Ummah!
The beautiful song, “We Will Never Submit” echoes the heartfelt pain of all his fellow Muslims (particularly Iranians), and in the song Mohammed(PBUH) he criticizes those who are by name Muslim and commit atrocities shamelessly against other human beings. Finally in the distinctive song, “Free”, he bluntly gives out a message of defense and support of the Hijab.
Verily, these are the ambitions and objectives of Sami Yusuf’s career, and it is of no avail to us what blood runs through his veins nor what beliefs he holds dear to his heart, but the significant concern is what he himself desires most; One United Ummah and the Golden Age of Islam.
